Was just trying to get docker installed on CrunchBang Linux waldorf without much success and came across this post by Wil Tan. Basically…
echo deb http://get.docker.io/ubuntu docker main | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/docker.list sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-keys 36A1D7869245C8950F966E92D8576A8BA88D21E9 sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install -y lxc-docker
Lifesaver!
echo deb http://get.docker.io/ubuntu docker main | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/docker.list
My god, where is good old echo “whatever” >> somefile gone?
Good question :). In this case, we’re working as a non-root user so the ‘>>’ approach will get you into “Permission denied” territory.
